SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Nationality:

• You must be either:
  • An Indian citizen, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or East African nations (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) to settle permanently in India.
• If you’re from categories (b), (c), or (d), you need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. You can take the exam, but the job offer will be finalized only after you provide this certificate.

Educational Qualification:

• You must have passed at least the 12th grade from a recognized board or university. Be prepared to present your documents for verification after passing the SSC Stenographer 2024 exam.

Age Limit (as of 01/08/2024):

• Stenographer Grade ‘C’: You should be between 18 and 30 years old. This means you should be born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2006.
• Stenographer Grade ‘D’: You should be between 18 and 27 years old. This means you should be born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006.
